A MATCH (CRICKET, HOCKEY, FOOTBALL, VOLLEYBALL, BASKET BALL)
Last Sunday a …………….. Match was played between Lahore club and Islamabad club. It was holiday. I, with some of my friends, reached the stadium in time. There was a great rush of people. We got seats with great difficulty. Policemen were there to control the people. Many hawkers were selling eatables. Their things were selling like hot cakes.
The match started at fixed time. Both the teams were in high spirits. They were trying their best to win the match. The supporters of both the teams were shouting and clapping their hands loudly. There were certain moments each of the teams had a narrow escape. The teams tried hard to carry the day but the match ended in a draw because both the teams were equally strong.

QUAID-I-AZAM MUHAMMAD ALI JINNAH
Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is the founder of Pakistan. He was a great leader and undoubting politician.
He was born in Karachi on December 25, 1876. After his early education in Karachi and Bombay, he went to England for higher education. He distinguished himself over there and returned to India as a barrister. He started law practice in Bombay. In a short time, he became one of the best lawyers of India.
He joined Congress and worked for Hindu-Muslim unity. Later on, when he came to know that Hindu leaders were narrow minded, he left Congress and joined Muslim League.
He worked hard for the good of the Muslims and organized them. On March 23, 1940 the Muslim League passed a resolution demanding separate homeland for the Muslims of India. It is known as Pakistan Resolution. As a result of his struggle, Pakistan appeared on the map of the world on August 14, 1947. He took oath as the first Governor General of Pakistan.
His health went down day by day due to his overwork. He died on September 11, 1948. He was a great leader of men and even today we look forward to his steps for guidance. May God shower his blessings upon him (Amen).

MY FAVOURITE BOOK
I have read many books but I the book I like most is the Holy Quran. It means the widely read book. Its author is not a human being. God is its author. He sent this book to the Holy prophet (peace be upon him) through an angel in parts. The companions of the Holy prophet (peace be upon him) collected the parts on which verses were written and gave them the shape of a book i.e. Quran afterwards. I daily recite it. So long as I go on reciting it, I feel as if I am talking with God. Every aspect of life is discussed in it with detail. Is a complete history, a unique philosophy, a towering ethic and a perfect religion.
It is written in Arabic. Its language is very forceful. I have not seen any book that can teach a man so many subject as Quran does. It is an everlasting book. It can meet all the challenges in all the times. It is only for the betterment of human beings.

A LIFE IN A BIG CITY
Life in a big city is very busy and exciting. People work according to a time table and do not like to waste it in idle talk. They are always in hurry and it seems that they are living a mechanical life. In a big city, every one is busy in his own affairs. He has no time for others. He works from morning till night and earns money for his children. People living in big cities know little about one another despite living in the same localities and streets for years.
Cities are more clean and pleasant than villages. A big city has many facilities like better education, roads, hospitals, dispensaries, factories and government offices. A great number of people from villages come to the big cities in search of some job. They settle there permanently and cause over crowding in cities.
People living in a big city experience many problems like housing, transport, traffic, playgrounds and number of schools. Their children find it difficult to mix up with other children. Moreover pollution and industrial wastes make the atmosphere dirty.
Life in a big city is, no doubt, pleasant and comfortable but only for those who can afford it.

About thirty patients were lying in ward and there was no doctor to look after them. Some of the patients were in great trouble crying with pain, but the nurse on duty was busy in reading novel. I was shocked to see this that every minute brings a patient in the hospital. The courtyard, corridors and varandas were full of patients. The teaches were also in happy in mood. The students were free from the school discipline. They were leisurely walking and talking. Everybody was in happy mood.
We were received with sweet, samosas, fruit chart and cake along with tea. Samosas were spicy and delicious. All the boys and teachers demanded samosas more than they other thing.

We thanked our juniors, embraced them and left for our home.

Ø CONCLUSIONS

Shakespeare has said.” What a piece of work in man! How noble in reason. How infinite in faculty form and in moving; how express and admirable. In action how like an angel, in apprehension how like a God; The beanty of the world, the paragon of animals”. In these lines Shakespeare has beautifully exalted man but the same man is facing many problems created by man. Centuries ago when man entered into ‘New Stone Age’ from ‘Old Stone Age’ man shows his bestial and barbarian nature in certain walks of life. He is responsible for creating certain evils like _______________. Pope rightly says, “What man has done for man.
Today when man has touched the surface of moon and world itself has become a global village, the evil of ________________has spread in the society of man. With the changing time ____________________ has become not of the most horrible problems all over the world, especially in third word countries like Pakistan.
At the very outset we must accept wholeheartedly that the evil of ________ Weakens ____________ the basic foundation of nation. This evil not only demoralizes one;s nations but also becomes the cause of entire destruction in the long run. This evil makes the system of state abrupt. When people are under the pressure of ___________ their minds cannot be further utilized for the development of the country. People feel insecurity and keep thinking about it all the time ______________. No doubt spreads discontentment in the society and ultimately a nation good imaged gets spoiled in the word. If it is not properly checked, judicial, moral and economic system of the nation is destroyed. William Golding rightly says: Man produces evil as be produces honey”.
The main causes of ___________ are illiteracy, poverty and wrong economics policies of the government. Unfortunately majority of our people is uneducated and on the other hand one education is not professional. Most of the students cram things and then like a parrot reproduce it. Because of illiteracy, people do not know the difference between right and wrong. Under these circumstances ____________gets way for its development has further increased the horizon of _____________.
Lack of social and economics justice is also responsible for increasing ____________. Sometimes this injustice compels people to do something wrong. When people will not be given their rights, people will raise their voice, weapons and means to compensate their hurt feeling. Lastly, in a nutshell, temptation for wealth and lust for power have given more dimensions to __________. Now materialism has gone into the very depth of man’s veins and thus materialism is spreading ____________ in the society in a large scale. Now people believe what long fellow has said:
Money is honey, my little sunny
A rich mans joke is always funny
History is witness that ______________ has ever been one of the main causes of downfall of nations. It has ever created disappointment among the communities where this evil prevails, the machinery of government gets rusted and it quite obvious that _____________ decreases respect for law. This provides a chance that the distinction between right and wrong. This evil leads to revolutions and military take-over. Any nation cannot bear revolutions and military take-over for a long timer; we can remove this evil from the society. If we believe that R.W.E. Merson has said:

Not gold but only men can make
A people great and strong
Man who for
Stands fast and suffer long.
If we want to root out this evil, then a complete change of political, social and economic system is necessary. Worn-out dated methods of removing evils like __________________ should be left now. Instead of believing in bookish-theories, we must do something practical to kill this evil. We will have to make anew government, which should be very much sincere to public. This new government should send those people in administration that can really know and settle the problems of public. Different kinds of departments should be established to wipe out the evil of _____________. The minds of the people can be changed by moral! Values small values. Morality should be an inevitable part of education. Lastly, there should be an exemplary punishment of those who are responsible for creating this evil. Political parties, N.G.Os and national media can play very important role to root out this evil.
To conclude, we can say that if we want to make progress in our country, it is our duty to co-operate with the government to eliminate this evil, Napoleon has said, “nothing is impossible” Let us try to understand what long fellow says”.
Lives of all great men remained us
We can make our lives sublime
And, departing, leave behind us
Foot prints on the sand of time.
